Voltage Transformer
The E-module 1572 provides a power supply for d.c. actuators with integral motor protection from a specified a.c. voltage.
The E-module converts an a.c. voltage to a 20 V pulsed unidirectional voltage.
An external switch can be used to reverse the voltage polarity and hence the direction of rotation of d.c. actuators.
The respective end positions of the actuator, "open" or "closed" are indicated by LED’s (green LED or red LED). The power supply is indicated by a yellow LED.
In parallel with the programmable outputs, an additional unsmoothed 20 V d.c. terminal is available (e.g. the pilot conductor for E-module 1570).
The voltage transformer is built into a universally compatible housing which is designed for panel mounting or direct attachment to the respective GEMÜ actuator.
The output voltage is protected by a 1.6 A fuse.

Temperature Transducer
Temperature transducer in an all-plastic housing with Pt 100 resistance sensor for temperature measurements for 0-100° C (0-212°F).
The temperature transducer type 3220 converts to the physical variable temperature proportionally into an electrical signal. It is available in the form of a two-wire transducer (4-20 mA) and as a temperature measuring instrument with an optional power (0/4 – 20 mA) or relay output (MIN and MAX switching points).
The process connection is configured as standard with male threads, to DIN 3852 in sizes G 1/2 A and G 3/4A.
Electrical connections are effected using an electrical plug in compliance with DIN 43650, PG 11.
The transducer can be mounted in any position.
After screwing in the connecting element, the upper part of the housing can be turned up to ±180° to the required position by releasing the fastening screws.
Components coming into contact with the medium are made of PVDF or stainless steel, the housing is made of ABS and the seal of FPM. Other seal materials are available on request.
Type 3220
Pressure Transducer
Pressure transducer in an all-plastic housing for relative pressure measurements for 0-10 bar (0-150 psi).
The pressure transducer type 3120 converts the physical variable pressure proportionally into an electrical signal. It is available in the form of a two-wire transducer (4-20mA) and as a pressure measuring instrument with an optional power (0/4-20mA) or relay output (MIN and MAX switching points). The pick-up is temperature compensated.
The element connecting the transducer to the pipeline is configured as standard with male thread, optionally to DIN 3852 or DIN 16288, in sizes G 1/4 A, G 1/2 A and G 3/4 A.
Type 3120
Flow Transmitter
Flow transmitter featuring non-metallic internal components for the measurement and transmission of volume flow for inert and corrosive liquids.
The flow transmitter picks up the entire volumetric flow and is therefore insensitive even in the event of an uneven flow profile within a cross-section.
There is no need to adhere to a special mounting position or other installation parameters. A mounting distance of 5 times DN on the inlet and outlet side is sufficient.
Components coming into contact with the medium are made of PVDF, with the shaft and bearings in a ceramic material. The housing is made of PVC.
The electronic evaluation system including the sensor is mechanically attached to the turbine housing by means of stainless steel screws.
Rotation of the turbine is picked off inductively, with the speed of the rotor proportional to flow.
The turbine can be quickly, reliably and simply mounted and removed by means of a union with DIN bushes.
Type 3020
Emergency Power Supply Unit
The 1570 E-Module provides an emergency power supply for direct current actuators.
In the case of loss of mains supply, the E-Module supplies power to the connected d.c. actuator by means of integral rechargeable battery.
In normal operation the battery is held on trickle charge from the main voltage.
The required final position of the actuated unit on loss of mains power can be programmed by means of a selector switch.
The setting of the switch can be sealed against unauthorized interference by a transparent cover over the switch lever.
LED indicators built into the unit show whether the mains supply (yellow LED) or the emergency supply (red LED) is in use.
Type 1570
Emergency power supply unit built into a universal compatible plastic housing, designed for incorporation in a control panel or direct mounting onto the corresponding GEMÜ actuator.
Example:

Power consumption: 35 VA

Output current: 1.4 A
Input fusing: M 1.6/250 V
Weight: 970 g

3-point Controller 1286 & 1289
The E-Module type series 1286 and 1289 is for the manual or automatic setting or control of motorized valves, hence for GEMÜ type series 413/418, 613/618 and 693/698.
The valve adjustment "open" and "closed" is initiated by a relay. This energizes the valve actuator until the differences between the actual and the required valve setting is less than the control hysteresis, i.e. it readjusts the valve position.
Over the whole of the control range, switching points are adjustable as minimum and maximum values by means of a potentiometer. These points are indicated by LED’s and the presence of the supply voltage is also indicated by a mains LED.
3-point Controller 1281 & 1284
The E-Module type series 1281 and 1284 is for the manual or automatic setting or control of motorized valves, hence for GEMÜ type series 413/418, 613/618 and 693/698.
The valve adjustment "open" and "closed" is initiated by a relay. This energizes the valve actuator until the differences between the actual and the required valve setting is less than the control hysteresis, i.e. it readjusts the valve position.

Isolating Switch Amplifiers
The type 1520 and 1521 isolating switch amplifiers are suitable for the following applications:
- Overload protection for light duty switches
- Mains voltage isolating component for main circuits and also for control circuits
- Switch position indicators
When the isolating switch amplifier is used, reed switches and other light duty switches will be protected against overloads since they will then not have to deal with currents above their rating. There is a danger of overload, with sparking and high currents caused by self-inductance voltages when breaking inductive loads such as power relays, solenoid valves and motors.
Both the control circuits are galvanically separated from the mains so that, if an earth fault occurs, no high voltages will appear on the installation.
These E-Modules are used in conjunction with GEMÜ type series 1251-1257 limit switches or GEMÜ type series 1211, 1214 and 1232 position indicators.

Solenoid Valves
Types 320, 322, 324
Directly controlled 3/2 way plastic solenoid valve for inert gases, with emergency manual operator. Due to its low power consumption it can be controlled by computers. Control functions are either normally open or normally closed.
The uniform basic construction of the three types in the series 320, 322, and 324 makes many applications possible without special additional components.
The valve, consisting of a solenoid system with a plastic cover and a valve body is very easy to dismantle so that the parts can be replaced separately. In addition to automatic operation, the valve can be opened or closed manually. Threaded inserts in the valve body provide an additional mounting facility for panels and standard tracks. The various possibilities for connection provide optimal installation conditions.
Type 320
Connections: threaded sockets, straight through configuration, suitable for single valve applications.
Type 322
Connections: threaded sockets, inlet and outlet arranged at an angle of 900 suitable for battery mounting. May also be used as a single valve.
Type 324
Connections: threaded sockets, inlet and outlet arranged at an angle of 900 suitable for direct mounting on process valve by hollow screw with 1/4" or 1/8" BSP thread.
Types 332/334
The valve consists of an epoxy encapsulated solenoid and a plastic body and can easily be adapted for battery mounting (all necessary parts are included: mounting clips, o-ring, threaded plug). Type 334 can be directly mounted to the valve actuator by means of a hollow bolt. Threaded inserts in the valve body provide additional mounting points.
The solenoid system is hermetically separated from the working medium. The central fastening nut enables the solenoid to be replaced without interrupting the flow. A standard plug is supplied with each valve.
The valve has a manual override facility.
